Shares Secured
A Shares Secured loan is a loan pledged against a savings account, money market account or a certificate of deposit with Kellogg Company Employees Federal Credit Union. Funds equal to the balance of the loan are frozen in the account and then as the loan balance is paid down, the amount frozen also goes down. With a Shares secured loan, members are charged a lower rate of interest on the amount borrowed and still earn interest on the money on deposit at the credit union.
